A longwool breed originating in North Yorkshire, Wensleydale sheep are known for their distinctive fleece, which grows in long, lustrous locks.

Silky and smooth with a natural sheen, Wensleydale wool has a cool, draping quality and a more fluid handle than traditional wool types. Well suited to garments and accessories where definition and movement are desired.

    If ordering tops, roving or jumbo yarn, all quantities will be sent in a continual length (up to 10kg) unless otherwise stated or requested.

  • Our fibres & yarns are made right here at WoW HQ. During the production and picking of your items, we operate a +/- 5% tolerance on item weights, as they are hand finished & picked.

    We always try to compensate for this and provide above, but with fine margins, we can guarantee up to +/- 5% tolerance.
