Q&A

What is your craft? (Spinning, felting etc.):

I am a felting artist. I create enchanted woodland creatures which are inspired by the forest on my doorstep.

How long have you been a craft enthusiast?:

I have been crafting with wool for a year.

What do you enjoy most about your craft?:

What I enjoy the most about my craft is creating my enchanted creatures and their individual characters which seem to appear as I'm crafting! I love the process of starting with a ball of fluff and turning it into a cute animal. It like a sort of Alchemy.

How long have you been a WOW customer?:

I have been a customer for 2 months, and I'm extremely happy to have found your website!

What do you like most about the company?:

The service and the quality of your products. Both are outstanding!

What is your favourite fibre?:

There are so many I like, but I love the natural colours for the wolves I make, especially Merino.

What is your favourite breed of sheep?:

My favourite breed has to be Shetland.

Is there anything you would like to see on the WOW website?:

I would like to see a little more detailed information on the different types of wool and the sheep it comes from.

Is there anything else that you would like WOW to sell?:

I think you have covered the lot! But maybe more patterns for animal felting.

Do you have a top tip for your fellow crafters?:

I think the best tip I could give anyone is learn EVERYTHING you can about your wool and your tools! Knowledge is the key.

Tell us a bit more about yourself:

I had previously worked with clay but last year got the opportunity to learn to felt and from there I was hooked. I now sculpt with wool instead. From there, I decided to make and share my work with the world, creating enchanted forest creatures for those who still believe in fairytales (we all need to escape life now and then.)

I've always been a keen creative and over the years have tried many crafts. All of which I have enjoyed but I found needle felting to be my real passion. I received so many wonderful comments on the animals I make that I decided to start a shop so my animals could be adopted to loving homes. And so, Puddleducks Treasures was born.
