Position at WoW:
How long have you worked at WoW?
I was just 16 when I joined World of Wool in 2005 and I have to say it really is in my blood, as my dad started the parent company just before I was born!
I started off filing, getting coffees and answering the phone... it's amazing to see how the company has grown since then, in such a short space of time and I am proud that I have been a part of that growth.
What does your position at the company involve?
Well... a little bit of everything really. I'm predominantly looking after the accounts and finances for the company, whilst answering the phone, taking orders and looking after our lovely customers. I make sure everything is despatched and run our online eBay store too.
What do you like best about working at WoW?
It's great working with my family. My dad, mum and brother...we make a good team!
And I love speaking to different people around the world and hearing all the different accents.
What's your favourite sheep?
Oooo, thatís a tough one. I love the natural colours that the Shetland sheep produce and they look soooo cute as little lambs. But the Merino is so soft.... So I think I would have to say Merino, you can make your own gorgeous colours with dyes =]
What's your favourite product in the whole WoW range?
My favourite product in the whole WoW range has to be the blend Libra. I think I'm biased because I created it =]
What do you like most about the WoW customers?
I love the passion and enthusiasm they have for art and design. Some customers know exactly what they want whilst others may struggle to choose but they still know what they would like to achieve. It's fascinating hearing and seeing what has been created with our products.
Which is your favourite photo submitted by a customer of their work?
My favourite picture of work that has been submitted to our gallery is: Andrea Hunter's Felt pictures. Every little detail makes the pictures. I love how she has captured the wind blowing and applied that to a still design.
