A recent article in Craft Business magazine talked about the rise in popularity for specialist yarns, and the large variety available to choose from.
*'In recent years, specialist yarns have been a luxury that knitters would treat themselves to when creating a special item or a gift', but 'we have seen a renaissance in the craft industry where there is a new breed of crafter who wants good quality, yet interesting products. Crafting is no longer the area of 'grannies', but one that crosses all ages and gender.'
Here at World of Wool, we are keen to ensure you continually have a wide variety of yarns and fibres to choose from to allow you to be inspired and have the freedom to get really creative!
As a result we introduced our extensive range of knitting yarns in an impressive choice of combinations, colours and sheep breeds including Blue Faced Leicester, Merino, Shetland, Hebridean, and North Ronaldsay.
We also know that many of our knitting customers prefer to make their own 'special' yarns by choosing either a pure fibre, or creating a specific blend from our natural wool tops, effect and speciality fibres, and then spinning themselves.
In addition to our off-the-shelf ranges of yarns and fibres, we also offer you the opportunity to have a completely bespoke product with our custom processing options.Custom Blends
If you haven't already tried our fantastic custom blend maker, you're missing a treat!
