A Masterclass with WoW Customers
Here at World of Wool we are constantly amazed by the work that our customers create from the craft products they purchase from us. From fashion items including scarves, dresses and handbags, to perfect replicas of animals - you are all truly gifted.
We particularly love to see the pieces of artwork that could quite easily be mistaken for watercolour or oil paintings, with the level of detail and almost brush-like strokes that are achieved using felting techniques!
We have picked out just three of these extraordinarily talented artists to showcase:
Dutch artist Ellen van der Wiel
describes her abstract paintings as modern, clear, colourful and organic, with colour transitions, natural shapes, rhythms and lines all important elements of each design.Edel Karin Ellingsen
from Norway produces felt artwork that has an incredible depth of colour, capturing landscapes with stunning accuracy.
Scottish sculptor Jill Harrison
uses her extensive talents to create portraits of both people and animals using wool fibre that capture the subject perfectly.
