Brighton Artists Open Houses

As part of Brighton Artists Open Houses, Blank Studios, Portslade is open to the public and holding an exchange programme of free workshops. Also on display will be a large scale Felt wall hanging illustrating the history and buildings of Portslade made using wool from World of Wool!

Grannies Inc is an ethical fashion label providing cutting edge knitwear design hand made by grannies around the UK and they are holding a competition to find the best 5 hand or machine knitted vest designs from the most talented designers, crafters and knitters across the UK.

The best 30 designs will be showcased on their exclusive pop-up catwalks in some of London's hottest parks in July this summer.
Catwalk shows will be run all day and both the public and the star grannies will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite designs. These events will be heavily publicised to press, bloggers and key members of the media in order to gain maximum exposure for you and Grannies Inc.

Winners will have their designs pitched to a panel of top Liberty fashion buyers on 20 August in the hope of stocking the designs in this prestigious store.

On top of this the winning designs will be sold on the Grannies Inc website, and produced solely by their team of talented grannies.
